I took the leap into self-employment as a Will Writer at the beginning of 2022 having worked for twenty years for two north Wiltshire firms of solicitors, as a Private Client Practitioner, specialising in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, Estate Planning and Probate.
As a Will writer, it is all about putting clients at ease and giving clear, accurate advice and a personalised client experience.
All consultations take place in the comfort and privacy of your own home or virtually if a home consultation is not possible. All documents are delivered, as far as possible, in plain English and jargon free and are accompanied by a detailed written explanation.
Many Will writers are unregulated but others, like me, have numerous qualifications, years of experience and professional indemnity insurance. I am a full member of the Society for Will Writers, who are the leading professional body regulating and promoting the profession of Will writing. I am also an affiliate member of STEP (Society for Trusts and Estate Practitioners) and have taken additional specialist qualifications - the STEP Certificate in Advanced Will Drafting and STEP Certificate in Trusts and Estates.
ABOUT ME
I am married to Kevin and have two adult daughters and a Yorkie-bichon, Tilly.
I am a member of a local running and triathlon club and when not working, I can be found pounding the streets on foot or on my road bike. I have run four marathons (including London twice) but as I have got older, I now prefer the shorter distances! I have recently taken up open water swimming, but I am a fair-weather swimmer!
I also enjoy the peace and tranquillity of paddleboarding on the beautiful rivers and canals in this area of Wiltshire.
Kevin and I are lucky to have a touring caravan, which we take away on a regular basis, enabling us the freedom to explore other areas of this stunning country.
